Starting With Paint Correction – PLATINUM ULTIMATE SERVICE

The paint on a car is a very delicate thing, and we can do up to an 8 step process that cleans, corrects and protects the paint surface leaving it literally shinier then new. Below we describe process that is used to achieve this amazing level of protection and gloss.

Step one is cleaning by properly washing and drying the car.
Next comes a modern version of “clay bar” application, which removes surface contaminants on the clear coat that leaves the paint feeling rough to the touch.
Next we use a 1000 grit pad to level the paint/remove the orange peel texture of the paint left from the factory paint spraying process or a respray.
We then progress to a 3000 grit pad to start the polishing process.
We progress to a 5000 grit pad, the last step before the polishing process.
Polishing with a compound turns the paint to a crystal clear image.
Hyper polishing with 3M blue further clarifies the paint finish and preps for a recommended ceramic coat or wax.

The below diagram illustrates the surface texture that is typical of automotive paint and the step-by-step process of eliminating the “orange peel” texture from the surface of the clear coat, resulting in a flawless hyper glossy finish.

PAINT RESTORATION/PAINT CORRECTION – CUTTING AND BUFFING

Paint correction is great for getting rid of swirls, minor scratches and other kinds of minor paint defects. In the after photo there are no wax or finish enhancers. That glossy mirror like finish is the actual paint… On the LEFT is after paint correction. It is glossy and has no surface imperfections but has a factory wavy look to the reflection. You can see orange peel texture of the paint distorts the images that are reflected… “Orange peel” texture makes the reflection look wavy. The RIGHT photo shows you the difference our system makes even with a factory paint job. The difference is astounding.

INTERIOR
Rejuvenate the interior and stop and resist cracking and fading especially the leather…

Interior detailing includes a cleaning of all carpeting and all surfaces of the interior. We use steam to get out deep ground in soil on everything from seats to carpet and consoles. We then dress all materials to make them supple and preserve them. We then get the trunk clean and spotless again.

ENGINE BAY
While many detailing services may not include this in their standard packages, it is a very important aspect of automotive detailing. The engine bay should be lightly misted with water, and then cleaned with a suitable degreaser before being rinsed clean. Once properly dried, all silicone, plastic and rubber components should be properly dressed to protect them from drying out. When completed the engine compartment looks like new again.

HEADLIGHTS TAILIGHTS AND EXTERIOR TRIM
We apply a polishing compound to headlights and taillights showing signs of oxidation, but properly sealing them after wards with a plastic sealant is an important step. Chrome trim is cleaned, and any vinyl or plastic trim is dressed with a protectant to help them
